Salon Palomo started in 2002 in a small location on Wooldridge Road in Corpus Christi, Texas. Initially it was dwarfed by the big three salons in town and spent its first few years relatively unnoticed.
Maria Del Rio moved Salon Palomo's to its current location in 2006, and then went through four expansions and build-outs in the same shopping center to eventually create one of the largest and most luxurious salons in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Currently Salon Palomo is leading the local salon industry for a large number of reasons.
STAFFING- Salon Palomo's Staff are the most highly-trained in the salon industry, and are well-compensated for their effort to maintain a driven and motivated work-force. Our competitors desperately seek to recruit our staff due to their inability to duplicate our in-house-training and outside vendor-training which is generously provided by Salon Palomo at no-charge to the staff.
LOCATION- Salon Palomo is easily accessible from all points throughout Corpus Christi at the Intersection of two main roads, namely Holly and Airline. Most people are familiar with the Corpus Christi Athletic Club, which is right across the street, Murdocks which is literally across the parking lot, or simply the AIRLINE EXIT off of SPID, which if you travel in the opposite direction from the mall leads you straight to the salon in just a few short blocks.
PRODUCTS- Salon Palomo is a proud Paul Mitchell Signature Salon, but we also fully-stock REDKIN, WELLA, CHI, Schwarzkopf, BEDHEAD, MAC, and other leading brands since we get a wide-array of international and domestic clients who may need colors that any one brand may not be able to emulate.
PRICE- Salon Palomo has not raised its prices in over a decade to make sure that five-star salon service is not lost due to difficult economic times. Moreover, some 'bargain' salons are actually more expensive when you factor in the expensive 'add ons' which turn an intial quote that may sound to-good-to-be-true into a finished bill which is sometimes more than quadruple what was initially expected.
